Kintsugi Sushi Bar
The owners of Satori Ramen Bar at North Market Downtown are excited to open a new sister restaurant — Kintsugi Sushi Bar — at North Market Bridge Park! They are bringing the same high quality and service standards customers have come to expect from Satori Ramen Bar, which was named one of Columbus Monthly’s Best New Restaurants of 2020.
This new concept leverages owner Seigo Nishimura’s experience from working at a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant in New York City’s East Village and his training at the Tokyo Sushi Academy to bring our community a fresh take on authentic sushi traditions. In addition to familiar california rolls, Kintsugi Sushi Bar is excited to introduce the community to other types of sushi popular in Japan, but not often found in the Midwest, such as temaki hand rolls (shaped like an ice cream cone!) and sushi rice bowls (not available on opening day, but will be rolled out gradually).
“Despite the pandemic, we’ve seen such enthusiastic anticipation of Kintsugi Sushi Bar’s opening in the community that we cannot wait to open,” says Nishimura. “We’re starting with a limited menu to enable us to focus on quality and service, just as we did with Satori Ramen Bar. But as we get into a groove, we’ll gradually introduce more items, like chirashi bowls and yakitori skewers, in the coming weeks.”
