North Market Downtown is proud to announce that Caroline’s, the pop-up restaurant from local Chef Justin Wotring, has officially become a permanent merchant at the Market following a successful run since its opening in October 2025.

What began as a limited pop-up quickly became a guest favorite, known for its gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, and seasonal soups rooted in comfort, quality, and community. Full time, seven-day-a-week hours will begin in April in their current space.

In addition, North Market is excited to share that Caroline’s is the first merchant announced for its highly anticipated expansion project, set to open later this year.

The new expansion space will feature:

Seven new chef-driven merchant spaces
An expansive bar
Expanded seating and gathering areas
A dedicated private event space
Additional merchants joining the expansion will be announced in the coming months.

“Caroline’s has been an incredible addition to the Market, and the response from our community made it clear that this concept needed to stay. We are equally excited to have Chef Wotring lead the way as the first announced merchant in our expansion—an important step in the continued growth and evolution of North Market Downtown.” – Rick Harrison Wolfe, Executive Director and CEO of North Market.

“I’ve always believed that food should bring people together, and the North Market has been doing that for 150 years. Caroline’s is proud to be a part of a place that has been supporting independent makers in Columbus for generations and will continue to do so for generations to come.” – Chef Justin Wotring, owner of Caroline’s.

Caroline’s will continue operating in its current location in the northeast corner of North Market Downtown, alongside North Market Butchery, also operated by Wotring. Caroline’s will then move to their new space upon completion of construction in late 2026.
