Littleton’s Market Expands to North Market Downtown Providing New Retail Bakery and Production Facility, Led by Littleton’s Market Executive Pastry Chef Aaron Clouse
Columbus, OH – April 25, 2024
Littleton’s Market, a grocery store that debuted in 2023 in Upper Arlington, is set to broaden its bakery operations with a new location at North Market Downtown. Anticipated to open this summer, the North Market location, dubbed Littleton’s Market Bakery, will include a cutting-edge baking production facility alongside a charming retail bakery and café. This expansion represents the joint commitment of North Market and Littleton’s Market’s to providing high-quality, locally sourced baked goods to the vibrant community of downtown Columbus.
“The addition of Littleton’s Market Bakery to North Market Downtown is one of the most exciting and important in our history. Like all North Market merchants, Littleton’s is a family owned, operated, community/local minded market. They have gathered some of the most talented culinary individuals in town and are allowing them to execute their entrepreneurial vision and talents.” – Rick Harrison Wolfe, North Market’s Executive Director + CEO
North Market and Littleton’s Market share a mission of promoting and incubating the “best in class” products and customer service with a strong focus on community.
“We are excited to announce the expansion of our pastry and bread program at North Market Downtown. This growth reflects our commitment to providing the best food for our community to enjoy together. We believe that great food brings people together and our expanded offerings aim to create more moments of joy around the table.” – Sam Harris, Littleton’s Market General Manager.
The new setting will also serve as production facility for the main Littleton’s Market grocery store in Upper Arlington. Customers can expect to indulge in a wide variety of baked goods, all made with the finest ingredients and crafted with passion and care. The menu will consist of house-made breads, include baguettes, focaccia, artisan hearth breads, and sourdoughs, as well as pastries including croissants, cookies, scones and other desserts.
“The new location presents an exciting canvas for us to showcase our passion for artisanal baking and creative flavors. The bustling energy of the North Market, with diverse vendors and passionate foodies, ignites our passion for crafting exceptional desserts. Being a part of this community is more than selling our pastries, but sharing our love for handcrafted goods with a community that appreciates the quality and creativity.” – Aaron Clouse, Littleton’s Market Executive Pastry Chef.
“North Market thrives on collaboration and Littleton’s has already partnered with some of our merchants such as COLO Seafood & Oyster Bar and Black Radish Creamery. I’m positive these opportunities will only grow with their new location at North Market Downtown.” – Rick Harrison Wolfe, North Market Executive Director + CEO.
The North Market operation will be led by Aaron Clouse, an esteemed pastry chef who has appeared on the Food Network and Desi Vasquez, who prior to Littleton’s Market was most recently an executive head baker of an artisan bakery in Houston. Both bring a breadth of innovation and expertise to this unique bakery experience.
“This is an enormous win-win for both North Market and Littleton’s Market; they will have a production facility for all things ‘baked,’ including an additional retail and branding opportunity and North Market Downtown will gain a best in class go-to for fresh breads, pastries and café items led by nationally praised talents such as Aaron Clouse, Desi Vasquez, and the whole team.” – Rick Harrison Wolfe, North Market’s Executive Director + CEO
