Gallo’s Pizzeria

About Gallo’s Pizzeria:

Gallo’s Pizzeria is the exciting fast-casual concept brought by the renowned Gallo family to North Market Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio. While the Gallo family’s restaurant roots in Central Ohio run deep—spanning several successful venues like Gallo’s Kitchen & Bar and Gallo’s Tap Room—this location is all about the classic, hand-tossed pizza.

Gallo’s signature offering is the 18-inch New York-style pie, which can be purchased whole or by the slice, made with scratch-made dough and fresh ingredients. Beyond their acclaimed pizzas, like the popular “3 Little Pigs” (pepperoni, sausage, bacon) and the “Sistine Chapel,” the menu features Italian-American favorites. Customers also rave about their selection of subs, stromboli, and appetizers, especially the “the works” loaded fries topped with their unique “Cockfight Sauce.” Designed for grab-and-go convenience, Gallo’s Pizzeria expertly blends family tradition with the bustling, modern environment of the Market.

How Did The Idea Come About?

The concept for Gallo’s Pizzeria at North Market Bridge Park was a culmination of the Gallo family’s longstanding entrepreneurial history and the Market’s strategic vision. The Gallo family has been involved in business in Columbus for over a century, with their family legacy including their grandfather, Nick Giantonio, who was a baker. Brothers Nick and Tommy Gallo and their cousin Larry Gallo saw an opportunity to bring their tradition of quality food to a new, dynamic location. The move was encouraged by Rick Harrison Wolfe, the North Market’s Executive Director, who was actively seeking the “best” pizza partner for the Bridge Park venue. The Gallo family’s reputation for success and commitment to quality fit the bill perfectly. For Nick Gallo, a Dublin resident, opening the Pizzeria in late Fall 2021 as the family’s fifth Central Ohio location was a source of great local pride. It marked their first grab-and-go concept, a model perfectly suited for the Market environment and catering to Bridge Park residents and offices. Their business philosophy, influenced by their family’s century of entrepreneurship, centers on quality food and a strong connection to the local community.

What’s Your Favorite Thing About Being a Part of The North Market?

While the Gallo brothers have a history of building successful standalone establishments, being a part of the North Market Bridge Park offers a unique and highly valued experience—integration into a vibrant community.

The North Market setting allows Gallo’s Pizzeria to serve not just as a quick stop, but as a casual, family-friendly hub. A standout feature is the “Nanawall”—a large, foldable glass door system. This architectural element allows Gallo’s to seamlessly connect the indoor Market House with the outdoor patio area. This means customers can easily grab their delicious, well-constructed 18-inch pizzas from inside the market or directly from the outdoor counter, offering a versatile dining experience. This integration allows the team to be a daily part of a broader, exciting food hall atmosphere, catering to a diverse flow of market visitors and the surrounding Bridge Park community with ease and convenience.

What are Must Orders on the Menu?

  1. Three Little Pigs (Pizza)
  2. Sistine Chapel (Pizza)
  3. Sal the Butcher (sandwich)
  4. Stromboli (any toppings)

Story of Gallo’s and the Gallo Family:

The Gallo family’s presence in Columbus business goes back over a century. The current restaurant ventures are built upon this foundation of entrepreneurship. The brothers, Nick and Tommy Gallo, were initially drawn to different careers, but their early exposure to good restaurants and formative family meals proved to be a stronger calling. Their father, Bo, started the successful O.P. Gallo Tuxedo shop, and their grandfather, Nick Giantonio, was a professional baker. This heritage of scratch-made quality and community connection is the driving force behind Gallo’s Pizzeria. They took their commitment to fresh, scratch-made ingredients—the key to the flavor of their signature 18-inch pies and standout items like their loaded fries—and adapted it into a quick-service, fast-casual model for the Market. Their success is a testament to the family philosophy: delivering high-quality food and service while maintaining a deep connection to their local roots, bringing a cherished piece of their family history to every slice served at the North Market Bridge Park.
