Holy Crepes
About Holy Crepes:
Holy Crepes is a unique and highly-rated eatery specializing in both sweet and savory crepes, as well as hearty baguette sandwiches. The business was founded by Enis Ndreu, who launched it as a food truck in 2017. The food truck quickly gained a loyal following by appearing at local festivals and events. Its popularity was so immense that it allowed for expansion, and the food truck now focuses exclusively on private events.
Due to its incredible success, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Holy Crepes was able to open its first permanent location. It now has brick-and-mortar spots in the North Market at Bridge Park and downtown Columbus, as well as a smaller stall in the East Market. Holy Crepes is celebrated for its commitment to quality and has earned a consistent five-star rating from its satisfied customers, who rave about the fresh, made-to-order creations.
How the Idea Came About?
The idea for Holy Crepes came about in an organic and surprising way. Enis Ndreu, a native of New York, was initially considering buying an existing restaurant, but he decided to launch a food truck instead. This allowed him to offer something unique and different that wasn’t widely available in Columbus at the time. The name “Holy Crepes” came about one day when his cousin, after trying one of the crepes for the first time, exclaimed, “Holy crepes!” The name stuck, and it perfectly captured the joyful, delicious experience of the food.
Enis credits his family for a lot of his success, especially his cousins who also run popular restaurants in Columbus and provided invaluable business advice. The food truck’s reputation grew so quickly that it was well-known in the community even before its full branding wrap was completed. The support and repeated requests from customers to open a permanent location, combined with the food truck’s strong performance even during the pandemic, gave Enis the confidence to pursue a brick-and-mortar location.
What’s Your Favorite Thing About Being a Part of The North Market?
Enis expresses immense happiness and gratitude for being a part of the North Market community. He sees the market as providing a vital sense of security and exposure to a large, diverse customer base that might not have otherwise discovered Holy Crepes. The market’s built-in customer flow and marketing support have been a huge benefit, reducing the need for him to handle many of the time-consuming business operations typically required for a standalone restaurant.
He truly appreciates the support system the North Market provides and the personal encouragement he received from Rick, the market’s CEO, to grow his business. Enis loves the bustling energy of the food halls and the way the market allows him to connect with both the local community and tourists. He is particularly excited about the North Market’s future expansion and is very proud to be a part of such a vibrant and supportive food hall environment.

The Story of Holy Crepes and Enis Ndreu:
Enis Ndreu’s journey with Holy Crepes is a testament to the power of passion and a great idea. It all began in 2017 with a single food truck and a simple vision: to bring high-quality, unique crepes to the Columbus food scene. He quickly built a reputation for excellence, with the business’s name being born from a family moment.
As his food trucks thrived, even expanding to a second truck during the pandemic, customers started to ask for a permanent spot. This led to a fortuitous meeting with Rick, the CEO of the North Market, who had heard about and personally tried the food truck’s crepes. Rick’s encouragement led to the opening of Holy Crepes’ first brick-and-mortar location in the North Market at Bridge Park in 2022. This was followed by a downtown location in 2024.
Today, Enis remains hands-on in his business, finding immense joy in seeing the same customers at different locations, a clear sign of their loyalty and support. Holy Crepes’ story is a perfect example of a food truck success story that found its perfect permanent home within a supportive community.
