Marty Mcgreevy has made Market Blooms the longest standing merchant at the North Market and loves welcoming generations of families returning for all their floral needs whether it be for an important event or just want beautiful flowers to brighten up their home. With flowers sourced locally, nationally and internationally, you can expect nothing but the best from Market Blooms. You can choose from single flowers, staff created bouquets, self created bouquets as well as a variety of greeting cards while visiting. Market Blooms also has a well thought out website that makes it easy to understand and order flowers ensuring you will get exactly what you expected. They offer delivery to Franklin county!
How Did The Idea Come About?
Marty always wanted to be a part of the North Market and when the opportunity presented itself, she made sure to take advantage. She had lived in the area and shopped at the market for years. To get into the market, she would need to buy out the current flower shop and did just that. This was in the Quonset Hut before the current building was rebuilt due to fire. Marty came in, cleaned and got her shop set up and started serving the community like she had always wanted. It’s now thirty five years later and Market Blooms is still providing Columbus with top notch flowers and loves the relationships that have blossomed and looks forward to new ones as well!
What’s Your Favorite Thing About Being a Part of The North Market?
Being part of the history and community of the North Market while doing what she loves and always wanted to do “soothes her soul” as Marty would say. Walking though feeling the good vibes and catching the smells of the different merchants options really makes the North Market feel like the “Soul of the City”. She loves to see repeat customers from generations of the same families returning to get flowers for their special occasion. The genuine good will and support from the community and fellow merchants is one of the main reasons you can consider the North Market as The Ambassador to the city of Columbus.

Story of Market Blooms and Marty Mcgreevy:
Previously working for a company doing floral office scapes for corporate events, Marty grew tired of setting up and tearing down late at night. She knew she always wanted to be a flower peddler and she fit right in at the North Market. At one point a few years after entering the market, Marty started a flower cart to peddle flowers after concerts and sporting events. She even needed a “peddlers license” to operate it. The response was not as she hoped, the flower cart was short-lived and Marty decided to focus exclusively on the stall at the market. Market Blooms has now become a destination for quality flowers and bouquets carefully created with detail and love that you can see and smell any time you visit the North Market .
